Euromat Gaming Summit 2015
The Euromat Gaming Summit is the only industry event dedicated solely to the land-based gaming sector. As the first choice for leaders from the land-based gaming entertainment industry, this event is aimed at setting the policy and business agenda for the years ahead, reinforcing key relationships between its main stakeholders and improving the commercial performance of the overall sector.
The first edition of the Euromat Gaming Summit welcomed 18 moderators and speakers of different nationalities who represented key stakeholders within the European gaming sector, including entrepreneurs, policy-makers and representatives of academic institutions. The keynote speech was delivered by Mr Klaas Dijkhoff, Secretary of State for Security and Justice of the Netherlands.
The Euromat Gaming Summit 2015 in Amsterdam gathered over 130 participants from across Europe, representing some of the largest and most important names in the land-based gaming sector. Through the presence of 15 journalists of different nationalities, the Euromat Gaming Summit was able to reach out to countless stakeholders worldwide.
Participants were provided with EUROMAT’s Industry Report, Playing Fair, which provides a snapshot of current industry practices across Europe and comprises the key objectives of EUROMAT’s central mission, including the dissemination of best practice in responsible gaming and raising awareness amongst members about the social impact of problem behaviour. During his closing speech, the recently-elected President of EUROMAT, Mr Eduardo Antoja, spoke about dialogue with European regulators, regulatory simplication, tax, attracting new players and promotion of products, adding that “today has been a great opportunity for us to come together as an industry to focus on those issues that make a real difference to our future commercial success.”
